Everyone has a brain, and these brains are either working, OR they aren’t working so well.
But how do you know?
At Fully Alive Chiropractic, each one of our patients receives an individualized stress response evaluation that helps us assess the communication between the brain and the body. This can indicate if the patient may have something called a subluxation.
As a chiropractor, my job is to correct subluxations.
Subluxations are stress-driven miscommunications buried somewhere between what your brain MEANS to act out with your body systems and what ACTUALLY happens in your body.
Chiropractors find the miscommunication in your brain and body and correct it with the adjustment. The adjustment takes many forms from hands-on “traditional” care, to little guns, clickers, and everything between. Laying down, standing up, sitting down, you name it and we find it.
We use this chart in our office to categorize different ways that the brains of our practice members get “stuck in subluxation.”
One objection that I commonly hear is “I don’t need to go to the chiropractor, because I don’t have anything that hurts,” or “because nothing is wrong with me.”
The thing is, many people don’t always feel this subluxation or deviation from normal function. That is why some trivial task like bending over to pick up a pencil can lead to someone “throwing out their back.” Bad muscle firing patterns due to the subluxation or miscommunication were present for a while before picking up the pencil became the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Over my chiropractic career, the most important thing I have learned is that our brains are rogue, unpredictable, and stubborn.
This is why it is so important to regularly get your nervous system checked for subluxations. At Fully Alive Chiropractic, we want to make sure your nervous system is operating correctly, so that you can live your life to the fullest!
If you are unsure about the level or complexity of subluxation present in your brain and body, we would love for you to stop by to have your nervous system checked. Be prepared for a team and doctor who care about MORE than your pain patterns or current stumbling stone, and look to teach you how to use your body, brain, and it’s built-in senses to create balance and harmony in your system.
Chiropractic care is right for you!
